Sierra Leone -
A school, a teacher
Our association is starting a new program in Burundi alongside the local association “Vivants comme les autres”.
In the village of Mont Teza, the Pygmy community lives in extreme deprivation and isolated from the large urban centers of Burundi.
The 145 Pygmy children in the village only benefit from a school without a roof, with a single classroom and without access to running water.
The teachers there are volunteers. Fanny Abadi, founder of Action Ethique Humanitaire, visited the site in February 2020 alongside our local correspondent and member of the AEH association Jean Claude Atiki.
It reflects the difficult living conditions there and the great expectations of the community to be able to offer the children the best learning conditions.
